Why this tool
- Nothing is uploaded. The work happens inside your browser; your files are never sent to a server.
- Mixed formats are fine. MP3 and WAV together are matched up automatically.
- Same format in, same audio out. The samples are placed one after another, with no loss.
- No install and no account.
How to use it
- Drop your audio files in, or click to choose several at once.
- Use ↑ ↓ to reorder them, and ✕ to remove one.
- Pick the output format and the gap, press "Join", listen to check, then download.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and this site has no way to receive your files.
Can I check for myself that nothing is uploaded?
Yes. Open this page, then disconnect from the internet. With the connection off, you can still choose a file and save the result.
For the first few seconds after the page opens, it is still fetching the parts it needs, so wait a moment before disconnecting. Reloading the page needs the connection again.
Note that some of the other tools on this site fetch extra parts after reading your file — for example, the character tables needed to show a PDF that does not embed its fonts. If you have a data-saving setting turned on, nothing is fetched ahead of time either, so a connection is needed then too.
Can I mix formats and sample rates?
Yes. When they differ, everything is matched to the highest sample rate and the most channels before joining, so nothing is thrown away. What will be used is shown before you join.
Does the quality drop?
Not if every file has the same format and rate and you save as WAV or FLAC — the samples are simply placed one after another. Saving as MP3, M4A or Opus compresses the audio again, which loses a little.
I hear a click at the joins
That happens when the waveform jumps. Tick "Avoid clicks at the joins" to fade 5 milliseconds at each join. You will not hear the fade, but that part of the audio does change slightly.
Can I add silence between files?
Yes, from 0.5 to 3 seconds — useful for joining recordings of talks or radio programmes.
How many files can I join?
Up to 50 at a time, each up to 300MB, and about an hour of audio in total.
I want to join videos
This tool handles audio only. To pull the audio out of a video, use the audio extractor.
How much can I use for free? Are there limits?
Every feature, as many times as you like. There is no daily cap, nothing changes if you sign up, and you will never be asked to pay later.
There is a limit on file size, but it comes from what a browser can handle at once. The work runs on your own device, so there is nothing for us to meter. The exact figures are in the other answers on this page.
Does this work on a phone?
Yes. Please keep the following in mind.
- Long audio can stop partway. About an hour is the rough limit. A computer has more room.
- Keep this page open while it works. Switching to another app stops it.
- Some formats, such as Opus, cannot be made on an iPhone. Choose another format if it fails.
- Saved files go to the Files app. To put them in Photos, use "Share" next to the download button.
