Why this tool
- Phone photos are not sideways. A photo often stores the picture in landscape with a separate "turn this when you show it" note. Tools that ignore that note produce a PDF of sideways photos. This one reads it.
- JPEG and PNG are not redrawn. They are copied as they are, so no quality is lost and the file stays small.
- Nothing is uploaded. Receipts and ID scans never leave your computer.
- Choose the paper and margin. Fit to A4, or make each page the size of its image.
- No install, no account, no watermark.
How to use it
- Drop your images in, or click to choose them. As many as you like.
- One page each, from the top down. Use ↑ ↓ to set the order.
- Pick the paper and margin, then press "Make a PDF in this order".
Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and this site has no way to receive your files.
Can I check for myself that nothing is uploaded?
Yes. Open this page, then disconnect from the internet. With the connection off, you can still choose a file and save the result.
For the first few seconds after the page opens, it is still fetching the parts it needs, so wait a moment before disconnecting. Reloading the page needs the connection again.
Note that some of the other tools on this site fetch extra parts after reading your file — for example, the character tables needed to show a PDF that does not embed its fonts. If you have a data-saving setting turned on, nothing is fetched ahead of time either, so a connection is needed then too.
Will my phone photos come out sideways?
No. Photos are often stored in landscape with a separate note saying which way to turn them. The part of a PDF that holds an image ignores that note, so a naive tool produces sideways pages. This tool reads the note and places each photo the right way up.
Does the quality drop?
Not for JPEG or PNG — they are copied into the PDF untouched. WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP cannot go into a PDF directly, so those are redrawn. You can choose the quality for that.
My WebP images made the PDF much larger
They would. WebP and AVIF are modern and efficient, but a PDF can only hold the older JPEG format. Redrawing can make the same picture several times larger (measured: a 3.2KB AVIF became a 30KB JPEG). Lower the "quality when redrawing" setting to keep it down.
Should I pick "match the image" or A4?
A4 if you will print it — each image is fitted to the paper, keeping its proportions."Match the image" if it is only for the screen — no margins, and each page is exactly its image.
Can I use HEIC files from an iPhone?
Not on a desktop browser, which cannot read HEIC at all. On an iPhone or iPad, the photo picker usually hands over a JPEG instead, so it works there. On a computer, convert to JPEG first.
Is there an easier way to order the images?
Press "Sort by name". Numbers are compared as numbers, so "IMG_2" comes before "IMG_10".
Can I turn the PDF back into images?
Yes — use PDF to Image.
How much can I use for free? Are there limits?
Every feature, as many times as you like. There is no daily cap, nothing changes if you sign up, and you will never be asked to pay later.
There is a limit on file size, but it comes from what a browser can handle at once. The work runs on your own device, so there is nothing for us to meter. The exact figures are in the other answers on this page.
Does this work on a phone?
Yes. Please keep the following in mind.
- On an iPhone, very large photos (24 megapixels or more) can fail. Lower "Quality when redrawing" and try again.
- Keep this page open while it works. Switching to another app stops it.
- Saved files go to the Files app. To put them in Photos, use "Share" next to the download button.
