Why this tool
- Nothing is uploaded. The work happens inside your browser, so contracts and invoices never leave your computer.
- Any order you like. Move files with ↑ ↓, or sort them all by name at once.
- No daily limit. Up to 50 files and 4000 pages at a time, as often as you like.
- No loss of quality. Pages are copied as they are — text and images are untouched.
- No install, no account, no watermark.
How to use it
- Drop your PDFs in, or click to choose them. Several at once is fine.
- They join from the top down. Use ↑ ↓ to set the order.
- Press "Join in this order" and download the result.
Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and this site has no way to receive your files.
Can I check for myself that nothing is uploaded?
Yes. Open this page, then disconnect from the internet. With the connection off, you can still choose a file and save the result.
For the first few seconds after the page opens, it is still fetching the parts it needs, so wait a moment before disconnecting. Reloading the page needs the connection again.
Note that opening a PDF that does not embed its fonts fetches the character tables needed to show the text, which needs a connection — common with Japanese PDFs. If you have a data-saving setting turned on, nothing is fetched ahead of time either, so a connection is needed then too.
Does joining reduce the quality?
No. The page contents are copied as they are, so nothing is re-encoded.
What if the pages are different sizes?
Each page keeps its own size. A4 and Letter mixed together stay mixed. When printing, choose "fit to page" in your printer settings.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
No. Bookmarks, form fields, attachments and document metadata are not carried over, because only the page contents are copied. Links within a page, and links that open a URL, stay.
Can I join password-protected PDFs?
No. Even a PDF that opens without a password may carry a permissions lock. The tool stops and tells you which file it was. Remove the protection first, then try again.
Is there an easier way to order the files?
Press "Sort by name". Numbers are compared as numbers, so "2" comes before "10" — handy for scanned documents.
Will the result be as large as all the files added up?
Roughly. If several files share the same fonts, the result is a little smaller. The before and after sizes are shown when it finishes.
I only need some of the pages
Use Extract PDF Pages instead. It keeps only the pages you choose, and the dropped pages are removed for good.
How much can I use for free? Are there limits?
Every feature, as many times as you like. There is no daily cap, nothing changes if you sign up, and you will never be asked to pay later.
There is a limit on file size, but it comes from what a browser can handle at once. The work runs on your own device, so there is nothing for us to meter. The exact figures are in the other answers on this page.
Does this work on a phone?
Yes. Please keep the following in mind.
- A PDF with many pages can take a long time, or stop partway.
- Keep this page open while it works. Switching to another app stops it.
- Saved files go to the Files app. To put them in Photos, use "Share" next to the download button.
